IPC-MPPT is a module for charging batteries from PV panels with a dual phase converter and application of the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) function to recover the maximum power from the panels. The module can be controlled from the DIN-IPC system and the information about the achieved power, voltage and current can be obtained from the module. However, it also works independently, e.g. if the battery is drained and system is without power, it can start recharging the battery by itself. It includes an output for the battery and an output for any load, which can be disconnected according to the requirements and the state of charge of the battery.

Target applications:
  • Island systems for data collection
  • Meteorological stations
  • Road systems
  • Internet of Things (IoT)

Properties:
  • Low profile for installation in classic distribution boards
  • Galvanic isolation of panel and battery
  • For photovoltaic panels with a maximum voltage of 100V and power of 100W
  • Maximum output current 10A
  • Ideal for 12V or 24V batteries
  • Overload protection with indication

The module is optimal for photovoltaic panels with 36 cells with 20V voltage for charging 12V batteries or for panels with 60 or 72 cells with 36V or 42V voltage for charging 24V batteries. Due to the high input voltage, larger panels can be used, ensuring sufficient power even in poor sun conditions, although full panel output may not be achieved in full sun conditions.
